
Instead of buying yogurt from your local supermarket try this easy and tasty home made yogurt.
Makes: 1.25 litresIngredients
1.2 litres UHT (long-life) milk
150 ml plain live yoghurt
25 ml dried milk powder OR
25 ml non-fat dry milk powder
Method
Warm the milk until hand-hot. Blend the milk powder with the yoghurt in a bowl. Gradually whisk in the milk. Cover loosely with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and wrap in thick towels. Place in a warm place such as the airing cupboard for 2—8 hours until set. Alternatively, pour the milk and yoghurt mixture into warmed, wide-necked vacuum flasks and screw on the lids. Leave undisturbed until set. Store in airtight containers in the fridge. Serve plain, with honey or fresh fruit.
